Free to run is a US registered 501c3 organization that operates in Iraq and Afghanistan. Our mission is to advance gender equality globally through running. We do this through 3 main values, EMPOWER, EQUIP, MOVE

2024 will be Free to Run's third year participating in the BMW Berlin-Marathon. As part of our MOVE stragtegy, we are looking to team a field of fundraisers who share our values, believe in our mission, and are willing to commit to a high fundraising goal. In exchange for fundraising you will receive:

Guaranteed, complimentary entry for the 2024 BMW Berlin-Marathon, valued at €205.
Fundraising support to help you surpass your goal, including help setting up your personalized online fundraising page.
An invitation to join a community of dedicated Free to Run supporters running the BMW Berlin-Marathon, the New York City Marathon and other events world-wide. This group is a space to meet like minded runners, ask questions, share tips, discuss fundraising support, race weekend logistics and more.
A pre-race meal and gathering in Berlin the weekend of the marathon.
Free to Run Race Day Gear.
The opportunity to learn more about our programs and interact with participants from around the world.
The satisfaction of contributing to Free to Run's work defending the rights of women and girls to participate in sports around the world.

If you already have an entry; you are very welcome to join our Team! For a minimum fundraising commitment, you can get access to our community, fundraising support, Free to Run gear, and invitation to our meet up on race weekend

We are looking for runners who can commit to $4,000 or more, so please let us know ho you intend to reach your fundraising goal. Pledges under $4,000 will be considered on applications with compelling answers that display a clear alignment with Free to Run's mission.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all bibs are allocated.
