Why Run For Us?

One in four women in Ireland have been subjected to domestic abuse. The impact of Covid-19 means that Women’s Aid needs support now, more than ever. Since the pandemic began calls to the 24hr National Freephone Helpline have increased dramatically.  Home is not a safe place for thousands of women and families across Ireland. Your support in 2022 means that Women’s Aid will continue their work supporting women and to increase the safety of women and children across Ireland.  We can continue to strengthen and increase our services – including our newly launched maternity outreach programme, emergency financial relief fund, and personal grants for women to make home security improvements.  Your support will also us to raise awareness of domestic violence and how Women’s Aid can help.

What support you will receive from us

Women's Aid will provide you with a fundraising pack including a free Women's Aid t-shirt.\nYou can also set up an online fundraising page on iDonate.ie, Facebook.com or GoFundMe. We will provide plenty of encouragement and support throughout your fundraising journey.
